Random Thought: Ball Lightning

Have you ever heard of "Ball Lightning?" It's a completely unexplainable phenomenon that only about 5% of humanity has ever seen... You interested yet? Good ;)

Ball lightning is when glowing balls of...well, lightning, duh ;)...float above the ground for as long as a minute, and then just dissipate. This can happen right after lightning strikes the ground, but has also occured when there was no strike. They seem to emanate no heat, however there are documented cases where they burn through things. I live in Florida - Lightning capital of the world - and have never seen ball lightning yet... Scientists believe if they discover the secret of ball lightning, they will have discovered the secret to the future of energy production!

Hmmmmm....this probably should have been classified as a "Random Idea"...

Do you see what I see?

This is a Rorshach inkblot test. You know - That's where the psychiatrist shows you these pictures, asks you what you see, and then sits there nodding sagely while muttering "Ahaaa, I understand..." and starts scribbling furiously on his notepad no matter what you answer ;)? I'm curious as to what everyone sees in this one... Please post with some sort of a name here, so at least I can figure out who's who :). I'll post what I see in this preschoolers finger painting experiment gone bad after I get a decent number of responses to this one...:)

Ant City!

In order to exorcise those destructive tendencies we all know you have hidden deep within you (and not so deep in some people ;)), I give you..."Ant City!" A program designed by a panel of psychiatrists in the hope of reducing violent thoughts in those patients deemed "disturbed," by providing them with a safe outlet for their potentially dangerous outbursts. It would prove to be so addictive, yet so frustrating, that they would give up and become peace loving hippies purely to stop the torture of this pointless game! Just as youre about to make the last move and unleash chaos incarnate... Cackling madly about the doom youre about to bring swooping down on those oblivious souls... It ENDS!!!!! Leaving you with a strangely empty and drained feeling... But why take my word for it? Go ahead and try it for yourself. Just make sure to read the newspapers... They add to the entertainment ;)

Hi everybody :). Well here I am sitting on the edge of my bed, listening to 8th day songs, looking forward to going home next week (exactly a week I might add :)). Chanukah is coming and were so happyyyyyyyy!!!! Theres going to be this HUGE Floridawide Chanukah party in Universal Studios, and I'm going there to rock it up! Yessssssssssssssss....having that much fun has to be illegal - doesn't it :)?

Sorry for the current lack of pictures, but my camera broke (I'm thinking of getting the Canon Powershot SD550, anyone have any comments on that one? If you do, I'd like to hear 'em :)). I'm trying to make up for it by talking - although they say a pictures worth a thousand words...

This week has been kinda hectic in the Smicha department, our teachers all left on us :). Ami Meyers is getting married (MAZAL TOV AMI!!!!), so he dumped us, and Rabbi Shmuckler is moving, so hes not in zal...Basically they left us hanging out to dry...we survived though (and I'd like to think we triumphed, but I wont go that far yet ;)).

I've got some really funny links I'm gonna stick up here, as soon as I get around to figuring out how to do it :). Now I take my leave, but not before warning you of the potentially lethal effects of dental floss.
